The Chapa Family Farm branding project began with a deep dive into vintage design references—classic Polaroid stripes, retro outdoor gear logos, and nostalgic color palettes from the 70s and 80s. Through multiple rounds of exploration, we tested different logo routes, experimented with typography, and built variations that captured both the warmth of family farming and the bold confidence of retro Americana design. The process was highly collaborative, incorporating client feedback on colors, lettering, and overall tone until we honed in on a style that felt timeless and rooted in their identity.
The final mark blends a friendly script wordmark with strong supporting typography, paired with an earthy, sun-washed palette of Goat Milk, Blue Spruce, Honey Wheat, and Rich Soil. Subtle retro touches—like a wraparound flourish on the “h” and layered drop-shadow treatments—give the logo personality while staying versatile for packaging, signage, and merchandise. The result is a flexible, authentic brand system that reflects Chapa Family Farm’s values: approachable, hard-working, and full of character.
